Since 1968, our family has dedicated itself to tending our olive grove in the idyllic Peloponnese region of Greece, where we exclusively cultivate Koroneiki olives. This exceptional, high-quality extra virgin olive oil is the very essence of our legacy.
Our Founders
Kyria Brand is the culmination of two visionary women: Jane Rassias, the founder and CEO, and Jean Rassias, the co-founder.
Jane’s passion for premium olive oil was ignited during her studies at the esteemed Culinary Institute of America, where she gained an in-depth understanding of the indispensable role of superior-quality olive oil in crafting extraordinary culinary experiences. After years of honing her expertise, she recognized the immense value of incorporating extra virgin olive oil as the foundational ingredient for gourmet cooking.
Jean Rassias, who successfully completed her studies at Flynn’s School of Herbology in NYC, is a seasoned herbalist with over 23 years of expertise. Her profound knowledge of skincare led her to the realization that only the purest, most natural ingredients should be used on the skin. She frequently incorporated the same premium olive oil into the tinctures she meticulously crafted, discovering its extraordinary benefits for the skin. This holistic approach to beauty ultimately gave rise to the creation of Kyria Skincare.

Jaclyn Rassias – Co-Founder
Jaclyn Rassias’ journey began with a personal mission: to create a line of skincare products completely free of peanut, nut, and seed oils. Living with a severe nut allergy, Jaclyn struggled to find clean, natural skincare options that didn’t pose a serious health risk. This challenge became the inspiration behind Kyria—a brand born from necessity and driven by purpose.
After experiencing the daily fear and anxiety that comes with life-threatening allergies, Jaclyn decided to take action. Her story is one of resilience and innovation, transforming a deeply personal obstacle into a solution that helps others facing similar dangers. Today, most skincare products on the market contain ingredients like almond, walnut, or other seed oils—all of which can trigger fatal reactions in those with allergies. Even the risk of cross-contamination is a serious concern.
Kyria is different. Every product is made using 100% Greek extra virgin olive oil as the main base and is crafted in a dedicated peanut, nut, and seed-free facility. Jane Rassias, our founder and CEO, is the master chef behind our products. She studied at the Culinary Institute of America and has worked for the top catering companies in NYC. While catering a party, she forgot to make her authentic Kalamata Olive Tapenade and was running out of time. She went to numerous stores all around NYC looking for a pre-made tapenade and nothing came close to her authentic recipe... and that’s when Kyria Brand was born.
